Haven’t written properly for a few months? Years? Is writing no longer fun? Just haven't been able to find the time? Join me for some gentle generative writing exercises! We'll try some writing and reflection exercises and see if we can pull each other out. Get cosy, get dreamy! All writers (including new/non-writers) at all levels across genres and forms are very welcome! Tickets are pay what you can.
Fundraiser News
In the last issue, I shared that I was fundraising for a short acting course I wanted to do. Amazingly, I went over the target within 5 days!!!
It still doesn’t feel real, and I don’t think it will until I start the classes in 3 weeks time! Once again, huge huge huge thanks to everyone who contributed and shared.
Getting funding to do The Actor's Cafe course has also meant I'm now able to do another two different courses with much more ease. I’ll be able to do a cheaper Comedy on Screen as well as this longer course, and it’ll be easier for me to continue with my Hoopla Improv courses (I get a full scholarship for that but have to pay for transport myself).
Acting Updates!
I have hopes to do a weekly acting training diary with my progress, thoughts, observations etc so they’ll be coming out here!
New Newsletter!
I’m very excited for my new newsletter, Booked On Set! This is an idea I’ve had for a long time (soon it’s going to be 3 years since I started being an extra in film and TV). First issue is out and I’m drafting some more issues as we speak!
Future Newsletter Style
I’m going to be bringing back writers opportunities again, whilst continuing to talk about the realities of a freelance creative life! It’ll still be monthly(ish).
